5.0 out of 5 stars couldn't be happier and it works just fine with my PC!, August 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: LG M2762D 27-Inch Widescreen 1080p LCD TV Monitor (Black) (Personal Computers)
After reading some of the reviews, I thought that this has got to be the most mediocre product in the world. So I almost talked myself out of this purchase. Yet the price point was so compelling that I figured, what the heck? Amazon has a great electronics return policy.

Some reviewers have commented on problems connecting their PC and having the image be truncated at the borders. After experiencing this problem myself, I did the unthinkable and read the manual, which is included on a CD accompanying the monitor. It makes it clear that the HDMI is for devices that produce video output only. Now you might say, this is a dealbreaker, and you'd be wrong, especially considering the nominal use to connect a PC and perhaps 1-2 other HDMI devices. There is a DVI input, specifically aimed at handling output from a PC. A simple HDMI to DVI cable (available on here or cheaply at a, which has an HDMI port, place like MonoPrice) will do the trick. I already had the HDMI to DVI adapter... Read more

I'm using this on my PC along with an ATI HD4650 video card. This looks AMAZING in 1080p on my PC. If you're planning on using this for a 1080p monitor you will NOT be disappointed.

Another reviewer complained about text and pixel pitch- He couldn't be more wrong. If you plan to use this for your PC monitor you need to make sure your video card supports 1080p resolution!!!!

I've also got this connected to a Comcast HD Cable box- also looks great and works well.

The built in speakers are pretty much junk- other than that, this is a great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Believe Everything You Read, September 20, 2010
This review is from: LG M2762D 27-Inch Widescreen 1080p LCD TV Monitor (Black) (Personal Computers)
Well I actually wanted just the monitor, model W2357v, and instead of Amazon for $[...], Frys sells it for $[...]. However, when I got there, Frys only had an open box V model left, and they reduced it to $300. I am not one to buy open box electronics, because they are usually someone elses headaches. So instead, I went with the LG M2762D-PF 27" HDTV. The only difference is the monitor has a slightly faster screen response time than the TV. My Computer is a built buy me, AMD Athalon 6000 2 core processor with liquid quiet cool, Asus motherboard with 8 gig of pc 6700 DDR II, and an NVIDA 8500GT Graphics card, HD. I came home, removed my old relic and connected this LG through the DVI hookup video card to monitor. I turned it on and set the input to DVI and booted the computer to Windows 7 64 Bit. Shazam. Right out of the box it was stunning with no adjustments. The sound is not bad either, so I used a Y cable to tie the LG Monitor sound to my Bose Companion 3 Speakers. I could have... Read more
